Inclusion Support

Homefield College provides emotional and behaviour support to students through the provision of an Inclusion Team.  The team provides support and guidance for staff and students in a person centred manner to ensure that all students have equal and diverse opportunities through real life experiences based in the college and out in the community.

The College will work with schools, parents, local authorities and potential students to identify their specific needs prior to placement, which can then be addressed through Behaviour Risk Assessments and Positive Handling Plans.

“The review team have observed excellent behaviour management skills in practice, and feel that the individual risk assessments and positive handling plans for students, in addition to the debriefing and reporting systems following incidents, are examples of excellent practice.” (National Autistic Society Jan 2015)
