Date: 25th October 2019

TeenTech run initiatives to inspire young people to gain skills and experience to become future innovators. They held an event on Thursday where a wide range of careers in Science, Engineering and Technology were exhibited and there were lots of engaging activities to take part in.

Our students had a great time gaining insight into the different industries. As part of the event, the group entered the Innovation Challenge where in pairs they identified global and local issues in their everyday lives, and then had to create an idea for an app or technology that could help.

Students AJ & CC designed an app that could alert a driver of any approaching emergency service vehicles to prevent accidents in the rush to make a clear path. The concept was highly commended and as a result they won the 'Digital Design Award' - well done both!
