Become a Trustee

Homefield would like to invite new members to join their Board of Trustees.

We are a charity providing education/services for people with a learning disability and / or difficulty. Our Board of Trustees have overall responsibility for setting the vision and strategic direction of the organisation.

If you have a passion for continuous improvement and making a difference to the lives of those whom we work with then please consider becoming part of our small, committed and friendly team. We would welcome applications from people who would like to make a difference to the learning, training and lives of young people with learning disabilities/difficulties.

In addition, we would welcome applications for these voluntary positions from those who can display:

• Experience at a strategic level within an organisation
• The ability to analyse information
• Vision, enthusiasm and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

To maintain our balance of skills and experience on the Board we are particularly interested to hear from applicants who have experience in one of the areas below:

• Knowledge of learning difficulties, education or care settings
• Property management and development
• A knowledge of community development and funding opportunities

If you feel you have skills/experience that would support and enhance the work of the Trustees at Homefield we look forward to hearing from you, but if you can also offer other skills or have an interest/background in learning difficulties we would like to hear from you.

Homefield are committed to diversity and aims to ensure that the composition of the Board of Trustees reflects the community at large. We welcome applications from everyone, we are seeking to ensure we have representation of the community, as we are underrepresented in certain ethnic groups. We would encourage applications from all members of the community, especially from underrepresented groups.
