Contract: Part time 0.5 FTE (over 2 or 3 days) – 38 weeks per year

With your expertise in running diverse and inclusive sports programmes, you’ll be the driving force behind increasing participation and creating a vibrant sports and activities culture across our college. You’ll also manage budgets, develop partnerships with external organisations and ensure that every student has the chance to thrive.

Job Purpose: To establish, lead, manage and develop the sports and related activities at Homefield College. The role will work across the curriculum to enable students to recognise and develop their skills and will lead the expedition programme to ensure that students with SEND can participate and achieve both within competitions and for themselves.

  • Create and run an effective programme across the College, establishing a comprehensive range of sport and inclusive competitive activities.
  • Ensure that effective policies are in place so that the College can operate safely.
  • Ensure that relevant policies and procedures are implemented and updated where required.
  • Promote sports and activities across the College and encourage students to participate.
  • Manage the budget and equipment associated with the delivery of the programmes.
  • Undertake training and train other staff to enable the requirements of the programme.
  • Manage and undertake the risk assessment process associated with the operation of the programmes.
  • Develop partnerships with external organisations, community groups and other colleges to develop sport.
  • Plan, staff and organise the annual calendar of events.
  • Attend training sessions, Award Ceremonies and other events as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance at all times with the College policies, but with particular regards to Health and Safety and Safeguarding.
