Day Services

We provide meaningful day activities for adults with learning & communication difficulties in the community.

Our programme has been developed to suit the needs, interests and aspirations of Day Service members. We work with our members to offer a series of activities throughout the week for both small groups and individualised plans.

Making the most of our connections with the College, the local community and Homefield’s enterprises, our activities are planned and organised to enable our members to develop and maintain skills for the future. We pride ourselves in providing support in a safe, friendly and confidential environment where our Day Service members are encouraged to attain a full and active involvement within the community.

Try lots of arts and crafts to discover new skills, work in groups to achieve projects big and small and have a go at model making production.

Have your voice heard in the local community by attending groups like Safe Well Happy and Charnwood Action Group.

Games and Hobbies

Play a range of games from Bolt Action to Warhammer 40k, Boggle to Trivial Pursuit. We have a big selection to choose from.

Gardening & Building Maintenance

Work as part of a team to look after the gardens, do some landscaping and maintain the College properties.

Look after your wellbeing by making healthy choices and accessing fitness facilities in the local community.

Learn the skills needed to work in horticulture and animal care by taking care of our horticulture site and small animals.

Develop domestic, financial and travel skills to work towards personal goals and aspirations to become independent.

Practice your Makaton to your favourite tunes from all decades. Have fun whilst improving your signing abilities and co-ordination.

Take part in metal-detecting, responsible recording of local history, art and model making, and digital photography.

Special Events

Join in with special events like the annual themed summer celebration for service users and their families and friends and our much-enjoyed Christmas meal.

Woodwork and Restoration

Make decorations and ornaments as well as working to restore old furniture whilst gaining safe working practices within a woodwork setting.

About Day Services

Based in Sileby, Homefield Day Service operates Monday – Friday, 10am – 3pm for 50 weeks of the year (excluding Bank Holidays). We also hold special events on evenings and weekends throughout the year. We accept members aged 16+ and you can attend from as little as one day per week.

Our Day Services are designed to be funded either directly through social services or with a personalised budget. Costing varies per person so that we can accurately provide for your unique needs.
