We provide specialist lifelong learning and community activities for autistic adults and those who have co-occurring conditions such as ADHD and learning disabilities.
We do not do traditional day care. Instead, we focus on living a meaningful life. Whether you are running our local book enterprise, volunteering at Breward’s Coffee Shop or developing independent living skills, our Community Learning programme is a genuinely enjoyable way to find your purpose and your people.
Your Week, Your Way
We operate a flexible 50-week service. Our core hours run from 10am to 3pm, with the option to extend to 9am – 4pm for an additional charge to provide essential wrap-around support for working families.
We also offer a flexible 2-day provision designed specifically to wrap around a 3-day college course, allowing members to apply their learning in the real world while still studying.
Because no two people are the same, we empower our members to build their own bespoke programme from three core pathways:
Enterprise & Volunteering
Get hands-on with real community businesses. Wrap and market our ‘Blind Date with a Book’ initiative, gain hospitality experience volunteering at Breward’s Coffee Shop or run local arts and crafts stalls. It is all about productivity with a purpose.
Social & Wellbeing
Maintain your skills, have fun and make lifelong friends. Choose from activities like performing arts, digital photography, swimming, gardening and cooking.
Independence
Build the practical skills you need for the future. From personal safety and travel training to managing money and cooking meals, we support you to live as independently as possible.
Growing with you
Lifelong learning means your goals will naturally change over time. To ensure you keep progressing, every member takes part in a quarterly programme review. This allows us to track your achievements, adapt your options and ensure your weekly activities always reflect your current ambitions and interests.
