My name is Nik and I am currently Head of Digital Inclusive Curriculum Enhancement at Oxford Brookes University. I have worked in higher education for nearly 15 years and although I’ve had lots of different roles, I have always been supporting others to do something new and exciting with their teaching or curriculum design.
I love to find ways to make learning enjoyable for everyone, especially if that involves technology or using creative tools like Lego or Play doh. My big interest though is in co-creating curriculum with students so that everyone feels like their course has been designed for them.
As trustee I bring expertise in digital tools for teaching and in developing staff capabilities to use them as well as knowledge of inclusive approaches to curriculum design. Although, I also think I will learn a lot from staff and students at Homefield about these topics.
Why did I become a Trustee?
I am a trustee at Homefield because our values align and I believe really strongly in the power of education to make a difference.
