Day Services
We provide meaningful day activities for adults with learning & communication difficulties in the community.
Our programme has been developed to suit the needs, interests and aspirations of Day Service members. We work with our members to offer a series of activities throughout the week for both small groups and individualised plans.
Making the most of our connections with the College, the local community and Homefield’s enterprises, our activities are planned and organised to enable our members to develop and maintain skills for the future. We pride ourselves in providing support in a safe, friendly and confidential environment where our Day Service members are encouraged to attain a full and active involvement within the community.
Some of the activities we offer include:
Arts and Crafts
Try lots of arts and crafts to discover new skills, work in groups to achieve projects big and small and have a go at model making production.
Community enterprises
Have your voice heard in the local community by attending groups like Safe Well Happy and Charnwood Action Group.
Games and Hobbies
Play a range of games from Bolt Action to Warhammer 40k, Boggle to Trivial Pursuit. We have a big selection to choose from.
Gardening & Building Maintenance
Work as part of a team to look after the gardens, do some landscaping and maintain the College properties.
Healthy Living & Wellbeing
Look after your wellbeing by making healthy choices and accessing fitness facilities in the local community.
Horticulture and Small Animals
Learn the skills needed to work in horticulture and animal care by taking care of our horticulture site and small animals.
Independent Living Skills
Develop domestic, financial and travel skills to work towards personal goals and aspirations to become independent.
Music & Makaton
Practice your Makaton to your favourite tunes from all decades. Have fun whilst improving your signing abilities and co-ordination.
