Salary: £10,970.98 (Actual Salary) (FTE £30,309.16)

Contract: 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Student Engagement Officer

Working closely with students, including Student Representatives, to develop new initiatives and to support existing events to ensure the “student voice” is present in all aspects of the College

The role involves developing and implementing engagement strategies, providing individualised support and fostering a positive and inclusive college environment in accordance with our organisational values:

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase student engagement and participation in college activities. 
  • Provide individualised support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to engagement. 
  • Organise and facilitate workshops, events and activities that promote student involvement and community building. 
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives, making adjustments as necessary. 
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student engagement and progress. 
  • Supporting, promoting, and increasing engagement with the Student Union and cross college enrichment activities. 
  • Act as a student contact point for information, advice and guidance relating to all student enrichment and Students’ Union related matters. 
  • Design and deliver a broad programme of enrichment and community engagement opportunities, including charity and fundraising initiatives.
  • Organising and running activities at the commencement of the academic year
  • Capture student voice through campus meetings, forums and surveys and ensure student feedback is responded to effectively, efficiently and timely. This feedback is to be provided in various formats to ensure it is accessible to all students.
