World Skills Successes
We are thrilled to announce that all of our talented hair & beauty students who entered the World Skills Competition have advanced to the National Qualifiers for World Skills UK!
This competition spans throughout the UK, and the first stage was an online test, which our students completed with ease! We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication, especially given the short deadline.
The national qualifiers will put their hairdressing skills to the test on a mannequin. If they succeed in this next round, they will be heading to the finals in Manchester this November! A huge congratulations to Skye H and Olivia W. Keep making Homefield and Spectrum Style proud!
Drum roll please…
Huge congratulations to students Livvy and Skye for making it to the WorldSkills UK final! They will be competing for the title of National Skills Champion in Foundation Skills Hairdressing.
When we kick off the new academic year, our focus will be on preparing them for the unique environment of the live competition. There’s a live workshop session scheduled for October, which will be a fantastic opportunity for Livvy and Skye to experience a different college setting before the final showdown in November.
A big shoutout to Tutor Bridget for her incredible guidance over at Spectrum Style. Well done Livvy and Skye, we’re all rooting for you!
