Introducing Spectrum Style – a training salon with a difference

Spectrum Style provides a practical learning environment for our students. At the salon, students have the opportunity to develop their skills and work towards qualifications in hair, grooming, and beauty, under the expert guidance of our qualified tutor Bridget.

Services offered range from wash and blow-dries, hair styling, manicures and nail painting, to hot towel beard massages, and much more.

Principal Tracey Forman says:

“This initiative is about more than just running a salon. It’s about fostering a sense of belonging, empowering our students and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of Barrow High Street.

We encourage everyone to support our students in their journey to achieving their goals. Your custom will enrich their learning experience, boost their confidence, and help them achieve their goals.”

We will be working towards the Autism Education Trust Post-16 Standards Framework with an aspiration for Spectrum Style to become an autism-friendly salon; for autistic students working at the salon and autistic customers alike. Our autistic students’ views will play a key part in helping us achieve this.

We are also embedding our values through the training salon, using sustainable products, practices and suppliers to minimise impact on the environment.

Bookings for treatments will commence from Monday 27th November 2023.
