Before becoming a trustee, I worked as a quality and curriculum development specialist in a Nottinghamshire college.
After a long career in further education, I became self-employed which has involved mentoring middle and senior managers within the further education sector.
I have held senior leadership roles within further education colleges as well as roles of senior policy manager and partnership manager as a civil servant.
Why did I become a Trustee?
With recent experience within the sector, I became very aware of how important it is to ensure we prepare our young people for being independent and to achieve their potential.
Another reason I am a trustee is that I believe the strategy at Homefield of delivering education and providing opportunities within the local communities where we are based is really beneficial.
