Stephen Davies

I have 32 years’ experience in specialist Land-based education and training in further & higher education Colleges.  My roles included: Lecturer, Head of Department, Programme Director, Director of Quality Improvement, Vice Principal and Principal.

As a qualified teacher I am passionate about enabling young people and adults to reach their full potential through learning new skills.   I was a governor of an Academy School and Trustee of a national charity called Thrive. This enabled me to add value to the lives of disadvantaged young people helping them to lead fulfilling lives and achieve amazing things.

I set up and led a Foundation Learning department from scratch.

My hobbies include reading, gardening, photography, music, theatre and football.

I will draw on my extensive experience to challenge, support and motivate the executive team to continue and help bring about improving the quality of life for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties.

Why did I become a Trustee?

I am passionate about helping to improve the lived experiences and progression for young people and adults with learning disabilities and difficulties.

Knowing that I can be part of a successful team with a collective mission, sharing in student successes is really what motivates me to be a Homefield Trustee.
