Team Homefield Triumphs at the 2025 Natspec Games

Last Thursday, Homefield proudly took part in the 2025 Natspec Games - a national event dedicated to celebrating inclusion, sportsmanship and teamwork for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Held at Hereward College in Coventry, the day was packed with energy, excitement and team spirit. Students from across the country came together to try new sports, represent their colleges and show what true determination looks like.

Our students travelled to the venue by coach and, after registering and attending the welcome talk, got stuck into a brilliant day of friendly competition.

The Natspec Games are more than just a sporting event – they’re a chance to build communication skills, form new friendships and practice teamwork and respect, all while having fun. The atmosphere was electric, with students engaging in a variety of activities including football, boccia and powerchair hockey.

We are thrilled to share that Team Homefield returned with two well-earned trophies: 1st Place in Football and the runner-up prize in Boccia!

On top of that, several students were awarded individual medals in recognition of their outstanding performances, resilience and dedication. Every student who participated showed incredible effort, representing Homefield with pride and positivity.

The day wasn’t just about winning – it was about trying our best, supporting one another and enjoying the opportunity to grow through sport. Students embraced every moment, whether it was cheering on teammates, taking turns on the pitch or showing kindness and respect to others.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved. Your hard work and team spirit shone through, and we couldn’t be prouder of what you achieved.

Well done, Team Homefield – what a brilliant day!
