Team Homefield triumphs at the Portland College Games

On Wednesday 6 May, a group of our students headed over to the Portland College Games to compete in two highly anticipated events: the 7-a-side football tournament and Boccia.

It was an incredible day of inclusive sport, and our students gave it everything they had from the very first whistle.

Teamwork and Spectacular Goals

Our students worked phenomenally well as a team, demonstrating brilliant coordination, support and determination on the field and the court.

The football team put on a fantastic display, showing great sportsmanship and scoring some very impressive goals throughout the day. Meanwhile, our Boccia players matched that intensity with fantastic focus and strategy.

A massive congratulations goes to all the students who took part and represented Homefield so brilliantly: Luke, Corey, Alex, Cam, Sean, Paige, Lilly-Sue, Dan, Emma and Thom.

Special Achievement on the Trails

Alongside the team sports, the day brought an extra reason to celebrate. We are thrilled to give a special shoutout to Sean, who took home the individual award for the best off-track mountain biking! This was a fantastic achievement that highlighted his skill, focus and dedication on a challenging course.

Beyond the Medals

While trophies and awards are fantastic milestones, the true highlight of the day was the outstanding attitude shown by every single student. They supported one another, cheered on their teammates and proudly embodied Homefield’s core values.

We are incredibly proud of everyone involved for their hard work, dedication and infectious team spirit. Well done, team – you did us proud!
