Community Learning Manager

Support lifelong learning and inclusion across community day services, holiday provision and social activities by delivering meaningfulperson-centred opportunities that promote life skills, volunteering and the development of meaningful social connections and relationships within the local community.  

Core Duties 

 Managers Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the timetable is purposeful, accessible and promotes independence and community connection.  
  • Ensure RAPPA targets are set termly and evidence is collected and reviewed in a timely manner to demonstrate the individual’s journey.  
  • Work alongside the Head of Therapies and Community Services in the development of community services (day services, holiday provisions and social opportunities) for people with a Learning Disability and / or Autism.  
  • Develop positive working partnerships within local communities and maintain regular communication and involvement in projects and developments.  
  • Ensure all legal requirements of community services are upheld and reviewed regularly including but not limited to support plans, risk assessments and PEEPS.  
  • Undertake regular reviews and audits of services to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Undertake regular individual meetings to promote and encourage co-production.
  • Act as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead for community services.  
  • Embed therapeutic practices within all community services.  
  • Line manage community service teams ensuring supervisions, appraisals and inductions are fully completed.   
  • Support colleagues through coaching and training to develop their own practice. 
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes. 
  • Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings as requested. 
  • Hold the day service budget and monitor income and expenditure  
  • Ensure effective staff deployment across the services

Education & Qualifications
