Provider Access Policy
Our provider access policy tells you our arrangements for providers talking with our beneficiaries.
Homefield College is committed to ensuring that students have access to a broad range of education, training and employment opportunities as part of their personalised careers programme.
Under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997, the College will provide access for education and training providers to speak with students about approved technical education qualifications, apprenticeships, supported internships, employment pathways, adult social care provision, further education and other progression opportunities.
All students are entitled to a bespoke careers programme that supports the outcomes identified within their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This includes opportunities to:
- Learn about the full range of education, training and employment pathways available at key transition points.
- Hear from local and national providers through presentations, careers events, workshops, group discussions and taster sessions.
- Develop an understanding of application processes for further education, apprenticeships, supported internships, employment and community-based provision.
Requests for Access
Education and training providers wishing to request access to students should contact the College Careers Lead. Requests will be considered in line with the needs, interests and EHCP outcomes of students, and providers may be invited to participate in careers events, transition activities, classroom sessions or individual information sessions.
