Salary: £46630.96 - £48348.03 depending on experience

Contract: Full-time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

Therapy Manager 

To lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary therapy and health team within a specialist college setting, ensuring high quality, person-centred support for learners with complex needs. To working collaboratively with the curriculum team to ensure that all support facilitates access to learning and achievement.

Therapy Manager responsibilities: 

  • Provide operational leadership to a multi-disciplinary team (e.g. Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Analysts, Counsellors and a health coordinator) 
  • Line manage the team and where appropriate, oversee appraisals, performance management and supporting professional development.  
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on shared decision making and practice, reflective practice, continuous improvement and evidence-based support.  
  • Ensure robust clinical supervision structures are in place for all therapy staff.  
  • Maintain a high standard of clinical governance, risk management and regulatory compliance 
  • Act as a professional role model upholding own professional registration (HCPC, NMC, Social Work England) 
  • Work in close partnership with the curriculum team, ensuring all support is integrated within the education offer.  
  • Monitor outcomes and use data to inform decision making.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice. 
  •  Promote a safe, inclusive and empowering environment for all learners.  
  • Ensure therapy services are responsive to diverse and complex needs.  
  • Actively contribute to internal and external meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with external health and social care services, recognising and responding to the need for external referrals where appropriate.
