The Students

Our students have various conditions - such as autism, limited verbal speech; an adverse reaction to unanticipated change, immature relationships with colleagues, uncertainty on acceptable behaviour, limited ability to read, write or add up, and many more - which make it difficult to cope with ordinary general colleges. They learn to deal with these conditions over the period of their programme with support and involvement from families and staff.

We aim to build the programme around the student and make adjustments to help every student acheive their full potential. When we plan students' programmes, they are actively involved; when we look at the organisation of the college, the students are at the forefront of our minds; when we look to the future, we learn from past students and look at future students' requirements to guide our thinking.
The students are always at the centre of our thinking.
