Occupational Therapist – Learning Disabilities

Contract: 37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

About Us

Homefield is a community-based independent specialist college that offers education, training and independent living skills for people with learning disabilities and communication difficulties. Most of our students are on the Autistic Spectrum with bespoke timetables to suit individual learner’s educational needs and interests.

Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Occupational Therapist to support with functional, independence and sensory assessments within a SEN college for students with Autism, mental health concerns and behavioural difficulties.

Supporting, teaching, learning and assessment by working with tutors and learning support assistants to implement therapeutic guidance to enable an educational experience, which prepares students for adulthood and is in accordance with our organisational values:

The successful applicant will have experience of working with young people aged 16-25 ideally within a SEN education setting and will require a degree or masters qualification in occupational therapy.  Empathy, strong communication skills and flexibility to meet the needs of the organisation are also considered essential.
